Firefox in WSL Linux using Devolutions Password Manager plugin: access to RDM Entries on Windows - how to...?

avatar

Greetings,

I have a RDM (v 2022.3.35.0) running on Win11 where all my credential settings are stored.

Now I have the need to login to a web app in Firefox which is running on the Linux system within WSL - and want to use credentials stored in the RDM on Windows.
I already have added the Devolutions Workspace plugin to Firefox.

Unfortunately I did not find any information on how the plugin needs to be configured to communicate with the RDM on Windows resp. whether there are additional steps I need to apply.

Could anyone please point me where to find appropriate info or provide a guide to configure this?
(I hope that this is possible in general...)

Best regards,
Ralf Pfiszter

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Devolutions Support.

To share your entries across multiple PCs, regardless of the operating system, you'll need to use a data source that supports cross-platform access.

Advanced data sources provide this capability, but will I assume you're currently using the free version.

In this case, we recommend using Devolutions Hub Personal (free), our cloud-based solution that allows you to access your entries from anywhere, on any device.

Please refer to the following documentation to get started with Devolutions Hub Personal and to learn how to transfer your entries:

- Create a Devolutions Hub Personal account:
https://docs.devolutions.net/hub/getting-started/create-hub/hub-personal/

- Export and import your entries:
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/export-import-entries/

Once set up, you can sign into the plugin using your Devolutions account to access your entries across all your devices.

Best regards,

Carl Marien
