Mac version VNC client can't do file transfer

avatar

Hello.

I work with a small office that has a windows machine running TightVNC and 4 of us need to access it remotely from time to time (we have a VPN). Three of us use Windows and the RDM works well with file transfer and "stretch to fit" button, which we find convenient to use. Today we added the 4th user. She has a Mac. She can connect OK but she only sees 4 icons, whereas the windows users see 8 icons. Among the missing icons, are the folder (file transfer) and the arrows (stretch to fit). Is this because Devolutions has not included these features in the Mac version?

Hello Paul,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,

Could you please specify the version of RDM Mac you are currently using?
What type of data source are you using?

Additionally, can you confirm that you can use the file transfer option from outside RDM using the Mac workstation and TightVNC?

Let me know,

Best regards,

Samuel Dery

In my original post, where I said Tight VNC, I misspoke. I use Ultra VNC on the host as Devolutions recommends, but its file transfer doesn't work for the Mac version of RDM.
