User-Specific Settings per entry type

I'd like for my users to have the ability to override our default settings for all entries of a specific type. For example they might want different settings for RDP than the defaults we chose for the entry type. Or someone has a color scheme they just love for SSH settings. Instead of either editing each one or batch editing each one, I'd like for them to be able to set user-specific settings for an entry type that overrides our defaults everywhere in our DVLS server.
