Update mechanism of RDM

Hello RDM Team,

I have an idea for a nicer update mechanism.

VLC or 1Password makes it perfect in my eyes - it´s like a in-place update. So you don´t need to check manually for updates, they inform about updates (optional beta versions) and download them themselves and install themselve.

Maybe something for the future?

BTW ... RDM is a great product I use every day at work!

Hi Tom,
It used to be like that from version 1 to 4 I think but we had so many problem when Vista came out with UAC. I will add a todo to verify what we can do, maybe it's time to take a look at that again.

what about the idea of implementing an in-place-update. Is there any development in this direction?

Hi,
In the RDM 9.0.12.0 Enterprise Edition, the application download and execute the installer instead directly instead of opening the web page.
