Tab navigation by selecting from tree - works for RDP/SSH but not web

Unfortunately, the terms are too common for me to find this by searching, so apologies for what may be an obvious quesiton...

Using RDM free (thanks) and I have lots of RDP, SSH and web entries in the tree on the left panel.

When I click (single) on an RDP or SSH tab that is already open, that tab comes to the foreground and is active. Same if I double click.

When I click (single) on a web browser entry that is already open, nothing happens (well, the line in the tree becomes active, but no tab changes).

When I double click on a web browser entry -- well, it depends. Sometimes it shifts to that tab and opens, sometimes it opens ANOTHER tab. These are "Embedded tab" type web sessions. It appears the ones that open a fresh tab each double click are labeled "legacy". I'm not sure how some are legacy and some not (or how to change between), but what I would really like is a single click to open that tab the same as it does for SSH/RDP.

Is all this controlled in a setting somewhere?

And can I convert a "legacy" web site entry to non-legacy without recreating it from scratch (I have quite a few).

Hello,

I believe this behavior is specific to the "Website (legacy)" entry type, due to the way it works. I suspect if you use the newer "Website" entries, this behavior will not happen and it will act more like RDP/SSH entries.

To convert them to "Website", you should be able to select your "Website (legacy)" entries, right click > edit > edit special actions > Convert website (legacy) to website. You can find the process in our documentation here: https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/convert-website-legacy-to-website/

Let me know if this works for you once converted.

Thank you, that was very helpful. And the nice thing is it will allow you to select everything under a node and it will just skip non-legay web sites, so I don't have to find them individually.

Much nicer now.

Perfect, I'm glad to know this worked for you! I'll mark this thread as resolved.
