I'd like to be able to build out something that looks like:

  • Storage Cluter
    • SFTP
    • WinSCP
    • APpliance-1
      • SFTP
      • WinSCP
    • Appliance-1-Node-A
      • SFTP
      • WinSCP

Etc, etc.

Hello,

Thank you for the request, we will monitor this thread for additional feedback to help us gauge user interest in this feature. This is not a simple change on our end despite how it might seem, due to the way sub-entries were first designed (which dates from over a decade ago).

In the meantime, if I take your structure as an example, I would recommend your Storage Clutter, Appliance-1 and Appliance-1-Node-A nodes to be either Host-type entries, or use specific folder types to organise your entries further (for example, with the Device-type folder).

We have a suitable folder structure for now, it would just be nice if we could do this in the future. The only announce is that our structure looks like:

StorageName-App-1
StorageName-App1-Node-1
.
.
.
StorageName-Cluster and we'd really like the Cluster name to be at the top of the list. I think we are just going to put an asterik in front of it.

You might be interested in the Sort Priority feature: https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/change-sorting-priority/
But changing its name that way might also work well for your case in the mean time.

That feature worked great! It's not perfect, but it is one step closer. I was able to use the sort priority to clean that up pretty quick.

Thank you!
