Any idea why loging in with a Keepass password is

avatar

Hello,

I'm using keepass to store all my passwords and I wanted to link logins to terminal services machines.

It works just fine for the machine that are in my DMZ (they are not domain-joined) but it fails for machines that are in the internal domain: the username and domain seems to be OK (according to the event log) but the password seems to be incorrect. I'm sure the password in Keepass is the right one and when I type it in manually, it works.

Also, why is there a 10 seconds freeze when the keepass login dialog is invoked from remoteDesktopManager (there is no such delay when I invoke keepass unlock dialog manually or through a hotkey)

Any idea is welcome.

Thanks

Does it work if you hard coded it in RDM without a link to KeePass? Perhaps it's the username format:

domain\username

For the delay, does KeePass is running?

Hello,

Thanks for your answer. The username is in the correct format. I have verified in the event log of the target machine that both the name and domain are properly identified.

Actually, I've just tested with entering the password in RDM directly without going through keepass and it also fails.

Regarding keepass, yes, it's always running on my machine. the way it happens it really strange, actually: the password window is displayed but it's completely locked for several seconds. After that time, it resume workings, even taking into account whatever password I typed in while it was frozen.

Do you have the Network Level Authentication option in RDP checked?

No, it wasn't checked. I changed it and now it works.

I still have that strange pause when unlocking my Keepass database but I can live with that.

Thanks a lot
