The benefits of installing Agents

At the moment, the Agent is mainly used to upgrade the Devolutions Gateway from the web interface of the Devolutions Server. I also sent a request to our marketing and documentation team to provide more information on the Agent both on the website and our documentation.

Since I do not have a Devolutions Gateway server deployed on premise, I guess there is no benefits in installing it to all of my computers / servers.

You are correct that Devolutions Agent is used for updating remote Devolutions Gateway instances from Devolutions Server, but that is not its only purpose. It can also be used in other scenarios, such as Remote Desktop Manager Jump, remote command execution, and PEDM-related elevation workflows.

That said, there is usually no need to deploy it on all computers and servers unless you specifically plan to use those features on those systems. If you are not using Gateway updates, Jump, remote command execution, or PEDM through the Agent, then installing it everywhere would generally not provide much benefit.
