Hi there,
I am fiddling around with HTTP connections via a SSH Tunnel.
I've set up the SSH Tunnel as seperate session and an HTTP Connections, which references this SSH Tunnel session in it's Gateway options which also works fine.
So far so good.
But - I have several HTTP connections already open which don't require a tunnel to connect.
Still - the moment I start the tunneled HTTP Connection, these (already open and running) HTTP tabs enter the tunneled mode - which I can see in the SSH Tunnel tab.
When I then close my connection that HAS to be tunneled and close the Tunnel tab, my other HTTP Tabs are unable to connect to their targets.
This I can only fix by closing RDM and reopen/reconnect all sessions.
I'm on Version 2025.2.9.0
MacOS 15.5
Greetings,
Marcel
Hello kahner,
Thank you for reaching out to the Devolutions support team.
Under the VPN / Tunnel / Gateway properties of your entries, it is set to close on disconnect by default.
You can set them to close manually, and it should stay open until you manually close the tunnel.
Let me know if this resolves your issue.
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet

Yeah, I know about that, and that is not my problem here.

My problem is, that even http tabs, which aren't intended to use the ssh tunnel jump onto the ssh tunnel train the moment the tunnel opens and won't be able to connect to their targets the moment the tunnel closes...
even though they aren't meant to use any tunnel at all
Hello kahner,
I tried to reproduce this issue.
Maybe I'm missing something in the configuration that can reproduce this.
I have opened an internal ticket to schedule a session and have a look at this

@Patrick Ouimet
I've scheduled a session.
Today I exportet my database from my Mac and imported it on a Windows system. It looks, like this behaviour doesn't occur there.
What I'm triying to do, is to connect to a Website via HTTP.
some of my HTTP connections don't need to be tunneled, some do.
The connection which needs to be tunneled is configured to use a SSH Link which refers to saved SSH Tunnel.
I have open and running multiple non-tunneled http connections - which run fine.
The moment I start one of the tunneled HTTP connections the ones which don't need the tunnel still enter the tunnel and won't be able to connect to their hosts after the tunnel is closed. Even if I close and reopen those Tabs.
I then have to close and re-open RDM.
but like I said - this happens only on my Mac, not on a windows machine with the same imported connections db
@Patrick Ouimet
today there was an update available.
Installed it right away and tested if my problem might have gone...
but sadly it's still there.
Hello,
On our side, despite multiple attempts and tests, we have unfortunately been unable to reproduce the behavior you described, At this stage, we have not identified any factors that could explain the issue.
Are you still experiencing the problem on your end?
Best regards,
Carl Marien
