Rustdesk - connect via private relay servers

Rustdesk - connect via private relay servers

Greetings.
I am using RustDesk more and more for remote support.
I have a few Private hosted RustDesk Relays that I connect through.

For those people that have set up their own relay, I need to enter in separate "ID server", "Relay server" & "Key"

Is there anyway to designate which remote entry uses which servers and keys?

Thank you for any assistance.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Devolutions Support.

Based on your message, I believe you are using the RustDesk entry type. By default, you can configure the ID and a password, which I assume corresponds to the key you're referring to.

If you require additional functionality beyond what's currently available, I can transfer this topic to the Feature Request section of our forum for consideration by our development team.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Best regards,

Jacob Lafrenière

Thank you for the quick reply.
Yes I think there will need to be additional functionality.

In my screen shot. If those fields are empty... the rustdesk client defaults to rustdesk's public relay servers.

For those people that choose the "Self Hosted" option.
The "network" settings will have the "ID Server" & "Relay Server" fields populated with a 'named server'
The "Key" field is the encryption algorithm necessary to connect with those ID & Relay servers

Many organizations chose to self host Rustdesk in this fashion to keep their activity private.

So back to my suggestion.
Each Rust Desk entry should be able to designate an ID, Relay, API, and Encryption Key.
(And of course the password).

Thank you again for the quick reply.

Cheers.

What timing! I too would love to see private relays added to the RustDesk feature of the manager. Can't believe this topic is only a day old TBH. Thanks!
