Hi,
I've had a look around but couldn't find anything relating to this. I'm fairly new to Remote Desktop Manager. The problem we have is that say we have customer X setup with several servers at a site but just one VPN connection. When I connect to a server the VPN kicks off and I RDP in automatically. Lets say I now want to connect to another server at the customer RDM would be able to ping to server and so would RDP directly. Now, if I log off either of those servers it drops the VPN connection. What I'd like is that the VPN is kept up until I've logged/disconnected to all servers that rely on that VPN.
Any suggestions? I can't be the first person to have experienced this.
Thanks in advance all,
PP
Hi,
It's possible that exactly do what you want with the VPN group. RDM will only close the VPN is it's empty or if the last opened connection is closed.

Thanks David. I can see where you select the group VPN for the server itself but it's blank. I'm assuming you need to set this at a higher level. Where is this done?
Thanks,
Pete
Hi,
It so simple that it makes it complex. You need to type any name in the first combo and in the next session, it will be listed.

Hi,
Can you elaborate? I can't see where this lines up? The VPN group is just empty.
pete
Yes it's empty but you can type the name you want. After that this name will appear for other VPN and you will be able to use.
The VPN group is only tag used to regroup the VPN when they are open.

Thank you!
Hi, I have the same problem. I put 2 sessions on the same group but when I close the first session the VPN automatically disonnect
Could you post a print screen of your VPN group connection property?
