Citrix Web Login

I'm using RDM v8.2.0.0. I have a Citrix web connection for which I have a URL, a username and a password. I can log in manually OK, but while RDM opens the browser with the correct address it won't automatically enter the username and password.

I have tried it with the embedded viewer, and with the browser manually set to IE and Firefox. I have tried all of the credential options and entering the credentials in the Login tab, but nothing works.

How do I get RDM to log in automatically?

Hi,
Could you do a view source to see the details on the page? Perhaps the html field id has changed?

I can view the source, what exactly should I be looking for?

Just send me an email at support at devolutions.net with the content

For anyone who is interested, David sorted this out for me. I'm new to Citrix and I didn't realise that I was in fact trying to log into a Citrix gateway. David showed me that I just needed to create a regular web session in RDM to log in.
Thanks David :-)

Hello,

I am having a very similar issue.
I am currently trialing this software for my company Keno Kozie Associates and I am having issues getting RDM to populate my username and passwords into their respected fields.
I've been able to configure RDP successfully.
The issue seems to be limited to Citrix URL.
From what I can tell from most of the posted conversations on this it could have something to do with source field for the username.
I am hoping to open Citrix through URL using the Credential manager.
I'd like to try with this website: https://remote.irell.com/vpn/index.html
If you need any additional details please let me know.

Please let me know if you could assist.

Kindly,

We have a netscaler add-on. Have you tried it?

Just tried it and was finally successful.
Quick follow up question.
Now that it logs me into the portal is there a way to auto lunch specific desktops on the portal or must they be manually selected?
Many thanks,
Joel

Custom macro maybe?

Hi,
Just for my information. Is it an url that you need to click to open a desktop? Do you know if it's always the same url between the connection? I mean could you paste the url in the navigation textbox to open it once you are connected?

David,
I do not think it is URL based. It is an icon within the Citrix Portal.
There are even multiple icons on the page.
I don't know if pasting in the URL will benefit considering credentials are required.
But here it is: https://remote.irell.com/Citrix/XenApp/site/default.aspx
Kindly,
Joel

We could do the first phase of login and invoke the url related to a desktop. Could you inspect the icon to see if it's always the same url for the same desktop.

Could you send me in private a view source of what you get when you are logged? Perhaps we could use the value or the name in the link instead of the url

Will do, David.
