Multiple Hop Login Support

avatar

I had sent an email previously and probably was not clear on what I would like to do. I am running the Enterprise version of Remote Desktop Manager and this is what I would like to do. I was able to do this with Putty Manager with configuring the Login Macro within the Connection configuration.
Requirement:
I have devices which are not accessible directly from my Desktop where Remote Desktop Manager is running.
For example :
Router A, I have access via SSH from my Desktop.
Router B, I can only access via SSH from Router A (not directly from my Desktop), so I need to SSH to Router A, then from Router A, SSH to Router B.
Router C, I may only have access via SSH from Router B, so I need to SSH to Router A, then from Router A, SSH to router B, then from Router B, SSH to Router C,
It appears that the Embedded Connections, always originate the connection from Remote Desktop Manager, and not from the Device which the Embedded Connection is built under.
Is there a way to accomplish this? I am mainly looking to use this for SSH and Telnet connections.
Thanks,
Randy

Hi,
Can you send me the login macro or a printscreen of what you did in Putly Manager. Maybe I can find a way of doing that, but for now it's not supported.

Thank you

Please see the attached screen shots. First one defines the first router to login to and enables the login macro mode(allows for auto-login and subsequent commands once initial login is completed). Second capture is where the login and subsequent commands are configured. In the example, Putty Manager opens an SSH connection with router 10.9.8.7.1 logs in, then opens a second SSH connection from router 10.9.8.7.1 to router 10.1.2.3.1. logs in, and enters enable mode, and sends the enable password.

Thanks for your help with this! I purchased the Enterprise version and really like what I see so far. Is there any other source for support other than the forum? I am interested in what some of the other configurations are used for (Events tab for example) and not sure where to look.

Thanks,
Randy
