RDM resets "always on top" of other applications

RDM resets "always on top" of other applications

avatar

How to reproduce:

1. Install a program that is always on top, such as Advanced launcher (free) http://www.alentum.com/alaunch/ or Barlaunch http://www.hi-ho.ne.jp/kyagi/enu/

2. Make sure in RDM that "File/Options/advanced/Allow multiple instance" is not enabled and that "File/Options/General/Always on top" is not enabled.

3. Start RDM and maximize the screen.

4. Start RDM again (by doubleclicking on the RDM shortcut).

5. What you will see now is that RDM is no longer maximized and when you then maximize RDM (or any other program) Advanced Launcher (or barlaunch) is overlapped by RDM (or any other program), meaning it is no longer on top.

So basically there are 2 bugs:

1. Always on top of other programs no longer functions.

2. The screensize of RDM is reset (goes from maximized to small windows size).

These problems occur also in the latest beta 5.7.1.0.

Why i would want to start RDM twice:
Some people like bringing the RDM windows to the front by double clicking on the RDM icon in the Tray area. I prefer to single click on the RDM icon my office-style bar Advanced Launcher (comes highly recommended b.t.w.)

I noticed that this problem seems to be addressed in the latest version 5.7.2.0.
When i start RDM from the icon in my Advanced Launcher bar (or from the windows 7 taskbar) and then after some time start it again, the always on top of my advanced launcher bar is no longer reset.
However it is not completely solved!
Because when i start RDM from the icon in the advanced launcher bar (or the rdm icon in my windows 7 taskbar) and then very quickly click on the rdm icon again, always on top applications are reset again.
So the problem still occurs when you quickly click the RDM icon 2 times, one time just right after the other.

This "doubleclick" problem may seem irrelevant, but it happens to me at least once a day that because of that bug the "allways on top" is reset of my Advanced Launcher bar.

Can you reproduce this also?

I've just tested version 5.7.3.0, the above mentioned "double click" problem is still present in that version.
