Failed to fill password for xrdp when RDP is opened in external mode

My OS is MacOS
I'm connecting to linux servers, which doesn't prompt a diolog box to fill password. Instead, I need to fill in the password manually. With Windows App, it auto fills password for me all the time.

If I connect to a windows server, a dialog box is prompted and RDM entered the password for me.
Seems like the dialog approach is not generic enough
