Update to 2025.2.13.1 - vi screen update issues and nonprinting characters appearing on screen

Since I have updated to 2025.s.13.1 when I try to edit files in vi or vim scrolling up after scrolling down results in the updates only appearing at the line at the very top of the screen while the rest of the screen does not update. Also, now when I list output periodically lines end with a bunch of vertical rectangles likely indicating the output contains non-printing characters. None of this happened prior to uprading.

I'm also experiencing problems with vim scrolling 1 line up. Only the first line is updating.
Looks like the "insert line at top" is not working when moving cursor up one line at the top line.
RDM version 2025.1.41.0 last working version. 2025.2.13.1 and later is affected by this bug.
Running on Windows 11.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,

Are you both also encountering this issue with the latest version 2025.2.14.0?

You can create a portable instance of this version to test:
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/portable-rdm-installation/

Let me know,

Best regards,

Samuel Dery

The issue persists in version 2025.2.14.0.

This could be related to the issue im having in my recent topic.
Version 2025.1.41.0 is the only recent version that is ok.

I tried 2025.2.14.0 and I am still having the same issue.

Hello,

We are currently unable to reproduce the issue on our end. However, we’ve noticed that several users have reported a similar problem.

Would you be able to record the issue and share the video with us? I’ve included a secure link for you to upload the video privately.

Best regards,

Carl Marien

SSH session

Scroll down is ok. Scroll up, only the first line is refreshed.

Hello,

Following up on my previous message, would it be possible for you to send us a TRP recording of the SSH session?

Here are the steps to create one:

1. In the SSH session properties, click on Session Recording.
2. Set the mode as required and choose your preferred destination.
3. Click Save.
4. Navigate to the Administration tab and click on System Settings.
5. In System Settings, select Session Recording, and under SSH Recording Type, change it (if necessary) to Terminal Playback (.trp).

Once the recording is ready, please send it to us using the same link I shared with you via direct message.

Best regards,

Carl Marien

I downgraded back to 2025.1.41.0 because it wasn't able to work. I'll have to see if I can setup an isolated instance of the new version.

I have the same problem, version 2025.2.14.0, even if from "vi" I do the command "o" to create an empty line under the cursor, it goes under but does not create the new line.
With version 2025.1.41.0 is ok.

Overriding the terminal type to vt100 resolves issue.
