Memory not released after session edit

Memory not released after session edit

avatar

Hello there,
I am in the process of creating syntax highlighting profiles for my ssh sessions. When testing the profiles, I noticed that when I repeatedly open the profile settings, more and more memory is consumed and no longer released. Is this a known issue?

I'm using Remote Desktop Manager free Version 2025.2.13.1 64-bit (JIT) with a local SQLite database.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards
Markus

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,

Your Syntax Highlighting mode is set to Custom, and you are encountering this issue when using the "Customize Syntax highlighting" button is that correct?

Could you test with a portable instance of RDM and let me know if you encounter the same issue?

Let me know,

Best regards,

Hello Samuel,

Thank you for your quick reply :-)
You are right, I am using the “Customize syntax highlighting” button.

Concerning your reference to the portable version, I am already using it.

Yesterday, during my tests of the custom syntax highlighting, I received the error message below.
I clicked the “Submit Error Report” button, but I'm not sure if the report reached you.
So I have attached the screenshot and error message details to this post.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply,

I see, I have not been able to reproduce the behavior so far, do you encounter the same problem on version 2025.2.14.0?

If so, could you confirm which version of Windows you are curently on? You can use the "winver" command to confirm this,

Let me know,

Best regards,
