Hi there,
I want to use the windows credentials prompt like when I use the mstsc. Unfortunately the rdm always uses the user I am currently logged on to.
When I try to use the mstsc the prompt works.
I have reinstalled the program and deleted all settings.
What am i doing wrong?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
Could you please specify the version of RDM you are currently using?
What type of data source are you using?
Additionally, if possible, could you provide us with a screenshot of the prompt in question so that there is no misunderstanding?
If you go into your entry, "Properties," change the "Credentials" to "None," and attempt to connect, does it still connect?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Hi,
i'm using 2025.1.37.0 64-bit.
I tried different data sources.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I see, if you go into your entry, "Properties," change the "Credentials" to "None" when attempting to start the connection, you do not get this prompt?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Unfortunately not
Hello Jonas,
Thank you for your reply,
Can you confirm that you do not have credentials saved for this host in your Windows Credential Manager?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Yes, this is a new installation.
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I would like to have a remote session with you regarding this to have a look at the issue. To do so, I will need to open a case. Would the email used for your account be the correct one to use?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Yes. Thank you
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
Perfect, I have created the case and sent you an email,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I come from Germany, where we have Central European Time. This means that the free dates you offered are in the middle of the night.
I assume that the session won't cost me anything?
Hi Jonas,
There will of course be no charge for the session. I see that you've already scheduled it with me—thank you!
I'll update this thread with our findings after the session.
Best regards,
Stephan
