We are using RDM with the Devolution Server as the data source. Each client we connect to dictates their own password expiration and account deactivation policy. For example, accounts not used in 30 days are deactivated but the account password only needs to be set every 90 days.
We need to find a way to either email or alert a user in RDM when their user vault credential entries have not been used in X days (to prevent account deactivation) or when the password has not been changed in Y days (to prevent account lockout).
We would like to set a global default for these conditions. However, since the deactivation and password expiration time frames are different for each client, we would like to allow the user to override these values.
In a similar vein, we would like to have a select group be notified when credentials in the main shared vault reach either of these conditions.
In the Devolution server, we can see under More that there is an expires after and an inherited notify for expiring entries options. These options don't seem to be visible in RDM.
However, I don't think this will do what we are looking for.
We would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
Could you please specify the version of RDM you are currently using?
Which version of DVLS are you on?
In RDM, when an entry is expired, it will be displayed like this in the "Navigation Pane"
When the Root folder is selected in your dashboard, you can see the amount of expired entries, for example:
The option to set this can be found in the entry Properties under the "Description" section. Is this what you are looking for?
I'm also wondering if you could provide some additional details on how you would like the users to be notified?
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
