Hello,
Is it possible to backup RDM and restore once I have re-installed Windows?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Devolutions Support.
To back up your local settings, I recommend copying the following folder:
%localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager
This will preserve all of your current local configurations.
As an additional precaution, you can use the Export feature located under File > Settings. This serves as a reliable fail-safe in case any settings are lost.
When setting up on a new Windows installation, simply install Remote Desktop Manager and replace the folder at %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager with your backup. This should restore your previous setup.
If any settings appear to be missing, you can import the exported settings file.
Feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
Best regards,
Jacob Lafrenière
