Organization of user credentials

Organization of user credentials

I have been using RDM for a long time and I think it is a great tool! Thank you guys for it!

I have no idea how to solve my case and I hope you can help me.
I have dozens of virtual machines that (in different configurations) are accessed by dozens of IT people. By default, according to security procedures, I would like to have accounts for employees with different passwords on each server.

The question is how to easily manage the list of credentials for each server. What ways do you have for doing this?

I, for the moment, came up with the option - 1 server = 1 password list, which results in dozens of password lists, with several employee accounts in each.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out regarding this.

A good approach to achieve this is by using "My personal credentials."

You can configure your servers to use "My personal credentials". Then, each user can navigate to:
File > My Account Settings > My Personal Credentials, and select "Password list" in the bottom-left corner.

From there, they can add various passwords and label them according to the servers they correspond to. They could also enter the server's hostname, and the list will not be prompted; the connection will be automatic!
When launching a session, they’ll be prompted with their own personalized password list.

Let me know if this solution could work for you.
I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
