Does anyone have a solution they're happy with for remotely accessing Raspberry Pi 4s running the latest Pi OS using RDM-supported services like TeamViewer or AnyDesk (in other words, using HTTPS and TCP/UDP, not VPN) that is compatible with Wayland? I'm expecting the answer is no but want to ask just in case.
I understand using these sorts of solutions is possible by switching from Wayland back to X11, but I'd like to avoid that if I can.
I'd love to access a bunch of systems this way through my existing RDM setup but am currently stuck using the Raspberry Pi Connect beta via a web browser.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Devolutions Support.
In the past, I have used VNC to access all my Raspberry Pi machines, and I would be surprised if it is not supported in Wayland. Could you try this solution?
Please note that if you plan to use a headless setup, you will need to purchase an HDMI dummy plug. 😊

Hello
Further to what Carl wrote; WayVNC is a good VNC server for Wayland and it works well on raspberry pi. To get the equivalent of something like AnyDesk, you'd need a remote desktop gateway, like our own Devolutions Gateway or something like Apache Guacamole.
Devolutions Gateway has a nice feature in that it can integrate with ngrok; which might make hosting things much easier (I'm not sure exactly what your setup is like, presumably some kind of home lab?).
If self-hosted is not an option for you, you can take a look at Devolutions Hub which integrates tightly with Devolutions Gateway and RDM.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Perhaps some other users in the community will post back with their ideas and solutions as well.

Hi Carl, VNC isn't an option in this case unfortunately. For security reasons I can't use a VPN to create the connection that would be necessary for VNC to talk with the Pi devices across the different remote networks I'm dealing with. I should probably switch to X11 so I can use something like TeamViewer or AnyDesk, I'm just being lazy =). All these Pi will do is act as a jump host with a web browser and SSH client on the remote networks. I only need a one-way window (so to speak) from my PC to the Pi, no clipboard sharing or file transfer needed. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Hi Richard, please see my response to Carl. Thank you for the recommendations. I do like the idea of Gateway but that's also not feasible in my environments. I'd love to do that for accessing my RDM remotely for all my enterprise access but that's a no-go policy-wise. FWIW, TeamViewer and AnyDesk have their own cloud connection brokers at no cost that connect clients together so hosting a gateway isn't necessary in that scenario. If I bite the bullet and switch to using X11, those will be viable options I can use with RDM in the way I'm hoping. Thanks again for your and Carl's time, very appreciated!
