Window placement on properties
Hi Everyone
I switch from a three monitor setup at work to a two monitor setup at home and back.
When I try to open properties like editing user specific settings, the window opens somewhere outside my physical screens. Since Devolutions finds it unnecessary to give these windows their own icon in the task bar, I cannot right click and move the window.
I can also hold windows key and use the arrow keys to my desire without any effect. Sometimes that works and sometimes it does not.
Why are these windows (and subsequent ones for connecting to a credential source as well) not opened on the same screen that has the RDM main application running?
Can I force this somehow?

Window placement is not as simple as it seems, but there is always a solution, including adding the icon to the taskbar. Could you post a screenshot without any sensitive information of the context windows to ensure I can quickly fix this specific issue?

If you tell me how I make a screenshot of a window that is not displayed..?
It is very simple. I rightclick on an items and go Edit > User specific settings
And the new window appears outside the monitors.
As for window placement not being simple: Yours is the only software I have the pleasure of using that behaves like this.

If you try the latest version 2025.1, we made a small adjustment to detect windows out of the screen. Let me know if this helps.
