Remote Desktop Manager suitable as a remote maintenance tool?
Hello and good afternoon,
Perhaps my question is unusual.
For security reasons, in some areas it is not permitted to install software that allows incoming connections. For example, something like TeamViewer, Anydesk or similar.
However, the Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager seems to be an ideal tool for establishing outgoing connections to many different destinations.
Now to the question. Does Devolutions have any component built in that allows incoming connections after installation like TeamViewer, AnyDesk or Splashtop.
I'm asking because the German publisher Heise once did a comparison of remote maintenance tools and listed these tools with Devolutions RDM as alternatives.
Thank you very much and have a nice day.
Hi Karl,
Thanks for the question.
Remote Desktop Manager is an application designed to manage all your connections and credentials. Remote Desktop Manager acts like a wrapper and a manager around existing remote access technologies but is not a replacement to them. Therefore, it doesn't enable incoming connections, only outgoing.
Hope this helps!
