If there are folders and connections, it doesn't matter what you set the sort priority of folders to be lower than connections, folders will always be on top. This is very frustrating. All items should follow / adhere to the sort priority.

That other request is a different thing.
What I am talking about here is that folders will always be grouped first, and then connections grouped second - ie. the sort priority field in user interface will only change the order of the item within the same type.
So using example below, it lists all folders from highest sort priority to lowest THEN it lists all connections from highest sort priority to lowest
It should just sort by sort priority and ignore type - so it should be:
