Network plans as an overview on folders

I think it would be good if you could store a network plan on objects, e.g. folders, so that it appears on the right when you click on them.
This would give you a quick overview of a location, for example, with the components listed below the folder.
If you take this idea further, you could also link the objects to the network plan and simply click on the object in the image to establish the connection.
Another option could be a floor plan, so that you can see where the objects are located.
Visio would be great as a format, but PDF, JPG, PNG, etc. would also be possible. The advantage of Visio would be that you could always edit the plan directly and wouldn't have to convert it into a different format over and over again.
