RDM locks up and has high CPU usage after every system wake up

I have an issue that has occurred between two different Windows 11 systems, that has occurred for at least the past 6 months. I leave RDM open at the end of the work day and let my computer sleep. When I wake it back up the next day, RDM is locked up and uses a constant 20% CPU. I always have to end the task in task manager and re-open it. I always keep my versions updated, the same behavior happens every day. I got a new computer back in November and restored my configuration, same behavior happens.

Could you please confirm if any sessions are left open when you leave your computer at the end of the day?

I recommend testing a cache/configuration reset for your local RDM to troubleshoot further.
Please follow these steps:

  1. Close RDM.
  2. Navigate to %localappdata%\Devolutions.
  3. Rename the folder "RemoteDesktopManager" to "RemoteDesktopManager.old".
  4. Restart RDM.
  5. Connect to your data source.
  6. Test to see if the issue persists.


If this does not resolve the problem, you can revert the changes by:

  1. Deleting the newly created "RemoteDesktopManager" folder.
  2. Renaming "RemoteDesktopManager.old" back to "RemoteDesktopManager."
