Winbox 4 beta14 in embedded mode

Winbox 4 beta14 in embedded mode

avatar

Hi folks,
trying to use Winbox 4 beta 14 in RDM 2024.3.20.0 64-bit.

It works, but in windows you can't expand columns; where the mouse cursor should appear to expand a column, nothing happens. In Winbox running externally it works.

I understand that the Beta version is beta :-), but don't you want to take a look?

Thanks
Lukáš Gallina

Hello Lukas,

Thank you for providing the additional information. As you mentioned, using Winbox in embedded mode can sometimes lead to unexpected behaviour, and it is not officially supported. This might be the reason why you are experiencing issues with expanding columns.

Given the nature of the issue and the fact that it works when Winbox is run externally, it seems to be related to the embedded mode itself. Unfortunately, this is not something we can directly fix, as it involves the interaction between the external application and RDM.

I recommend keeping an eye on future updates of both Winbox and RDM, as improvements and fixes might be introduced that could resolve this issue. In the meantime, using Winbox externally might be the best workaround.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with.

Best regards,

Maxim Robert

Maxim,
thank you for your time. I expected that, actually because Winbox is still in beta.

Thanks and have a nice day
