RDP smart reconnect doesn't work
Is there some trick to get this feature working? I've never had much luck, though I think it worked fine a couple of years ago. When my RDP reconnect mode is set to smart reconnect the session flickers but never reconnects. I have to either re-enter my credentials manually or change the reconnect mode to full.

Unfortunately this is a downside of using Smart Reconnect, It first disconnects the session and tries to reconnect it as fast as possible with the new screen size.
Have you tried using any other resizing option that are available? I found that Dynamic resolution works well to prevent being disconnected:
