Advanced documentation in RDM

Hello,

we are using documentation in RDM with markdown. Is there any way to get RDM entries into the documentation?

For example: We would like to create a table with all server entries in a specific folder. So we can create a documentation for each costumer without writing down the servernames and IPs by hand.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. To better assist you, could you kindly provide us with the following information:

  • Your current RDM version.

  • The operating system you are using and its version.

  • The data source you are utilizing.

  • Would it be a Document entry or the Documentation tab of the folder?

Once we have this information, we will be better equipped to see if this is possible.

Best regards,

Maxim Robert

Hi,

we are using Version 2024.3.19.0 (Enterprise) in Windows 11. Datasource is MS SQL.
It's a documentation entry, but we are open for any other solutions.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay,

Unfortunately, after verifying, it is not possible. However, we suggest using our PowerShell Module to update the Documentation Tab. Here's the link to our PowerShell Documentation with RDM, which includes the link to download the Module.

What about IP address List entries. It would be great to be able to display them in the documentation tab. Or even let them be written in the documentation every night.

As far as I understand the IP List entry can also be synced with a folder and all IPs in that folder.
