custom credential entry linked script tunnel support

Hello,

When a 'custom credential' type entry is configured to use a linked script, and that script entry has a Devolutions Gateway tunnel specified, the tunnel does not open. If the script entry is launched directly, then the gateway tunnel opens.

The use case is retrieving a LAPS credential where there is no direct line of sight, so the script needs to connect via a tunnel. Similar to https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/configure-laps-custom-credential-entry/

Would it be possible for the custom credential entry to open the VPN tunnel configured on a linked script?

Hello Joe,

Sorry about the delayed answer. I think what you're asking for makes sense. I'll open a ticket so we can change this behavior. We'll have to discuss whether we want this behavior to be toggleable with an option in the Custom Credential entry. I've opened a ticket.

Hello,

This behavior has been implemented and will be available starting with our next major version, 2025.3.0. The custom credential entry will now open the VPN configured on a linked script.
