vCenter Synchronizer - FQDN for Hostname

Hi!

We are trying to sync our hosts from VMware vCenter with Remote Desktop Manager.
As we are working with multiple domains it would be great if the FQDN of the host would get synchronized.
In the "DNS Name" field of vCenter that information is present. So it should be possible. There also doesn't seem to be a workaround.
I've already contancted support. I can add a suffix for the session name but in the hostname field it always gets overwritten with the NetBIOS name.
And yes I know I can sync the IP-Adress but most of our admin users are in the protected users group. Meaning kerberos authentication is enforced. Using IP is not an option for us.

I saw the first 2026 version was released yesterday 🙂 Does this release include this feature request?

Hello,

This has unfortunately not made it into 2026.1, but I will see with the development team if it would be possible to schedule for 2026.2, which is planned for early summer. We have had a few requests for this improvement so I think it's worthwhile to add.
