2024.3 - Keepass integration not working

This update has broken Keepass integration! It asked to update the plugin but after doing so now when Keepass launches the plugin is not compatible with v2.x of Keepass! So this has broken my credentials for RDP sessions.

How do we fix this??

hi cchilderhose,

can you try something for me? In your KeePass installation folder (usually ProgramFiles/KeePass Password Safe 2), In Plugins folder, you should see DevolutionsKeePassPlugin.dll. Delete it, then reinstall the plugin via RDM. If this solves your issue, I have a very good idea of what's causing it.

Hi Phillippe,

I did what you said, and that seemed to fix the issue with the plugin, as it is working now. I had to close both programs and launch them, but Keepass does not throw that message anymore, and I can see the plugin now under the Check Updates window.

Also, my RDP works by passing the credentials from within the app. Thanks for this, but it is something to address.

Hi again cchilderhose,

Glad this "fixes" your issue. I think it has to do with a small tweak we did renaming the file from "Keepass" to "KeePass". Our copy steps probably ignore the casing and KeePass is expecting something very precise. For your other issue, I would recommend creating an other thread so we can keep track of it more easily. I'll forward it to the appropriate team as soon as you create it.

What other issue are you referring to in your reply? I was just reporting the Keepass plugin today with the new version unless you referring to the freezing issue which I already have a support case for.

That was in relation to the Keepass credentials being used with RDP. So all is good now. :)
