Hello,
RDM has many keyboard layouts, nevertheless I'm not able to find the one I'm looking for. It's the US International (00020409 in windows registry).
Important are the "ä ü ö €" keys (AltGr + q y p 5) in comparison to the other US layouts .How can I find the matching one? If it doesn't exist, is there a way to provide it?
Thanks.
With regards
Nils
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Devolutions support.
You are correct that the US International keyboard is currently not supported. A workaround would be to change the keyboard on the remote PC if possible.
I will forward this request to the feature request forum, and our developers will review your query.
Best regards,
Carl Marien
Hello,
In what context do you need this keyboard layout? Is it for the SSH terminal entry, or for something else?

Hi,
By default, RDP picks the current keyboard layout ID and sends it to the RDP server. If the RDP server recognizes the keyboard layout, it is used for the session. Please note that the keyboard layout id is only set properly for a new session - you may need to do a full logout on the server side for it to be accepted. Here's a screenshot where I set the English International keyboard layout on my client and connected with RDP to a server.
It is also possible to explicitly pick a keyboard layout from a list instead of using the current one, but it looks like the list needs to be updated to include the English International keyboard layout (00020409). However, this is only needed if you want to use a different keyboard layout from the one you are using locally, which doesn't seem to be case here.

Thanks Marc-André. You're totally right. I tested it again and got no problems. Last time there was a strange behaviour resulting in a different layout on the target than the jump host and my local client. Maybe the login was done with a switched layout. I deleted the QWERTZ from my local client to be sure that it doesn't make any problems again.
