Right-click not working if session is open
Hi,
I am using RDM (2024.1.30.0 64-bit) and when I right-click an entry, I can use the context menu (t.ex. copy password).
When I open the session, that no longer works. Right-click briefly shows the context menu, but disappears immediately.
On all other entrys (assuming not opened) right-click still works. Just not when the session is opened.
Any suggestions?

Can you specify which entry you are using ? We already had similar issues with PowerShell sessions and Winbox entries, but theses have been fixed.

Nathan, thank you for the reaction. I tried the ones we have and found this issue exists with:
- winbox
- putty
It works okay with:
- built-in ssh
- cisco ASDM
- RDP
Never noticed the difference, for it's winbox 30% and putty 65% of my time. It's putty where I regularly (nearly always) need the 'copy password' feature

I was able to reproduce your issue with Winbox and Putty. I will open a ticket and post back here when the fix will be made.
Just so you are aware about this, Winbox has previously shown some unwanted behaviors and seemed to be caused by it's interaction with Windows OS (which we cannot control) as it is an old application. Therefore there are chances that a fix will not be possible.
As a temporary fix, you can open your Putty and Winbox entries in "External" mode. This should fix the loss of focus in the mean time.

We've fixed the issue for Putty. For Winbox, we are still heavily limited by how the application actually works, we highly recommend using it as external or undocked. These changes should take effect with the upcoming 2025.2.26 for Putty. That said, we are currently implementing an improvement for focusing sessions when clicking the tree view but limiting this to left clicks only. This can be found in File - Settings, for both Auto focus options. Both of these will be seeing a rework shortly and an option to only work on left click, this should fix the problems you are experiencing altogether. I don't have an exact ETA on those features yet, but you can expect them with the upcoming 2025.3 release, or shortly thereafter.
