LAPS credential entry help

avatar

Hi support team

I'm trying to test out the new LAPS credential entry (using LAPS legacy) as mentioned in the latest "whats new" for version 2024.2.15.0 64-bit (enterprise)

It's not at all clear what information to specify in the properties of the entry. I've tried various combinations but cannot see where to enter a Hostname for LAPS to lookup, nor get it to prompt for a Hostname?

I also created an RDP entry to reference this credential entry, but it doesn't seem to attempt to use LAPS?

Any documentation or assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

When used as a linked credential, LAPS will use the session's host as the lookup value.

To confirm the LAPS entry is working correctly, since you mentioned linking it to an RDP session didn't work, could you please use the "Get Username" function on the LAPS entry directly? When used on its own, the LAPS entry will prompt you with a list of computers supporting LAPS. This will help us verify that the LAPS entry is correctly retrieving the expected credentials.

If the "Get Username" function works correctly but the issue persists when linking to an RDP session, please let us know. We can then further investigate potential integration issues or configuration settings that might be affecting the linked credential functionality.

Best regards
