Browser extension not working after upgrading to 2024.2.13.0
Hi,
Since we've upgraded to RDM 2024.2.13.0 the browser extension stopped working for some of our users (including me).
It's only the existing plugin that stopped working. I used the Chrome extension before, even if I remove everything and reinstall RDM and the extension I cannot get it to connect to RDM.
When I install the Edge extension, the mapping works perfectly.
Another colleague of mine used the Edge extension, which is now broken for him. He installed the chome extension and that's working for him.
The problem is the pop-up in the RDM application itself. When we connect the extension to the RDM after removing it, it doesn't open RDM and doesn't show the pop-up to connect the extension.
Anyone an idea what I need to clean up or do to get RDM & the extension mapped again?

It will help us to understand what is happening when the extension is trying to communicate with RDM.
Do you know if you have settings on Chrome that are enforcing HTTPS on localhost?

Hi,
We are not enforcing anything special other then the default for Chrome or Edge.
Some people have it on chrome, some on edge. When the issue occures, they cannot re-add the plugin or get the plugin working on that particular browser.
Adding the plugin to any other browser works however.
After your question about https redirection I checked how I could check that setting and was pointed towards: chrome://net-internals/#hsts
I removed the domain security policies from Localhost. After I did this, the plugin noticed the mapping was deleted and asked me if I wanted to readd the plugin in RDM.
After which I was able to succesfully map RDM with the Chrome Extension again.
