RDP over Delinea Proxy Credential linking/inheriting

Yes, it is possible to batch edit multiple sessions at the same time. Please follow these steps:

1. Select multiple entries by using Shift + Click.
2. Right-click on one of the selected entries.
3. Select Edit -> Batch Edit -> Edit Save Credentials.
4. Make the necessary modifications.

By following these steps, you should be able to bulk convert all existing entries.

I know all about Batch Edit.. with this new entry type.. it is a totally new object item and not a simple batch edit task.. Not to mention in the new object the only option is to select a credential entry and there is no longer an inherit option like on other RDP entries.

Is there a way with the new RDP over Delinea Secret Server Gateway option to inherit credentials like other RDP sessions?

For now, it's not possible, but we already have a ticket opened for this.

I saw where to set it on each host entry, is there a way to bulk convert all existing entries that are standard RDP sessions to this new type?

You can use the Convert Type action. To do so, right click the entries, select Edit -> Edit (special actions)... and in the opened window, search for Change type). This should allow you to select the "RDP over Delinea Secret Server proxy" type and since the entry actually is based over the RDP entry, it should work. Although, of course, the credentials will have to be set on each entry afterwards, either individually, or using the Batch Edit feature.

Yeah ok, may have to hold off on this for now if the option is to have it set on each entry.. Although nice to know about the bulk convert options is out there.

The support for inheriting the credential entry in RDP/SSH over Delinea Secret Server proxy has been implemented. Unfortunately, since this required modifying models shared throughout our line of products, this won't be available before the release of the beta of our next major version (2024.3).

Yes, with Delinea Secret Server, you can inherit credentials for RDP sessions. However, to bulk convert existing standard RDP sessions to the new gateway type, you'll need to explore bulk edit or scripting options within the platform.
