Good day, I have this long time issue that is no more than annoying, but it happens every time I connect to an RDP session. Whenever I type in the password and click connect it ALWAYS fails the first time. Second time, no issue. I can save time by typing in garbage and then putting in the password after. Blows my mind as it happens across multiple machines form. Thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
That being said, I'm also wondering if you encounter the same behavior when attempting this connection outside RDM in MSTSC or if this only occurs in RDM.
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
I am actually updating to latest right now but I could not have been more than 1 revision behind. And this issue has been the case for many versions and quite some time.
I am just using the default data source.
Good question about MSTSC, I will test that.out in a few different ways and report back. Thank you.
Hello,
Perfect, keep us informed.

I was also getting this exact same issue (and also for many versions) but today fixed the issue. In my case I had specified the username with a ".\" prefix (e.g. ".\admin") as this was a local (non-AD) account. I don't recall exactly why I originally set it up this way but in the current version I no longer need the prefix and authentication works first time now.
Thought I'd mention it here just in case it helps anyone in future.
Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up.
I will consider this forum closed.
