Feature Request - VMware Synchronizer Exclusions

I know it's not exactly the same, but at the moment we do have a "filter by group" option in the VMWare synchronizer:


Did you try out this option? If the entries you want to synchronize all belong to the same group, this might be a suitable workaround for you.

If this doesn't work well enough for you, I will open an internal ticket for your request.

Also, I noticed we had a similar request in the following thread to support excluding synchronized elements based on a Regex. I wonder if this kind of solution could work in your case.

Furthermore, yes, the regex exclusions would also work, as long as we can have a way in the synchronizer to make some form of exclusions :)

The "filter by group" option is simple, it will make it so the synchronizer will only synchronize VMs where their path starts with the value entered in the "filter by group" option. Unfortunately if you need something more complex than that, I don't think the current solution would work for your use case, especially if you want to work by way of exclusions rather than inclusions.

I will open a ticket to add a way to both include and exclude through RegEx for the VMWare synchronizer.
