Everytime I launch RDM I just a error: "The Hub version (0.0) and Remote Desktop Manager version (2024.1) are mismatched. Your datasource is in read-only mode."

I have updated RDM to latest avaialble, but still receive error.

How do I resolve the issue?

Could you provide us with the information below?

  • Does the message keep appearing after logging in with Hub?
  • Could you please send us a .har file to help us investigate the issue? I created a ticket for you to provide us with the information.

Could you provide us with the information below?

  • Are you using Hub Personal or Hub Business?


If you are using Hub Personal in RDM, could you try to recreate a new data source with the same information? Do not clone or duplicate the Hub Personal data source. If the new one works, delete the old one. This operation has no impact on the data in the Personal Hub.

I am having the same problem, but with 2024.2 now. Here's some background:

  • My company updated our Cisco AnyConnect VPN last week, and upon trying to open it through RDM, I found this pop-up:


  • As part of my natural troubleshooting process, I checked for updates and updated to the latest version:


  • After the update, I now receive this message every time I open RDM:


  • After researching the issue, I tried creating a new data source and restarting the application, but the same message popped back up.


I'd be very interested and appreciative of any help provided. I use RDM daily at this point, and I really appreciate the convenience of the application!

We are currently investigating an issue with the deployment of Hub Personal 2024.2. A quick fix is to do a rollback to 2024.1.32.0

HUB Personal 2024.2 has been deployed. You should now be able to authenticate via RDM 2024.2.8.0.

Hello, today the error occurs again with 2025.2 rdm version.
The Hub version (2025.1) and the Remote Desktop Manager version (2025.2) are mismatched. Your data source is in read-only mode.

This message means that your current version of RDM (2025.2) doesn't match the version of Hub Business (2025.1). The development team has not yet pushed version 2025.2 of Hub Business. I suggest reverting to version 2025.1 of your RDM until this version is available. Here's a link to download a previous version of RDM.
