RDM VS Devolution Server

avatar

Good afternoon,
Can someone explain to me the differences between Remote Desktop Manager and Devolution Server?
We currently have RDM Enterprise License but we are doubting whether to migrate to Devolution Server but we do not know 100% of its differences

Greetings

Hi there,

here’s the TL:DR; version for DVLS (Devolutions Server)

  • provides integration for Identity Providers (Microsoft AD, Entra ID, Okta, PingOne), permissions can be driven by your group memberships.
  • Adds database isolation, including encryption at rest
  • Includes a Devolutions Gateway, offers recording and Secure Sessions
  • logging and alerting, including syslog
  • reports : on demand or scheduled
  • Synchronizers that run server side
  • much much more

really a ton of features for such an inexpensive offering

Perfect,
Therefore, I understand that it maintains all the functionalities of RDM but adding more, right?

indeed

Managing Users and Groups will need to be done in the Server interface, but RDM maintains all its capabilities.
