SSH shell su with different password

avatar

Hello,

We have Delinea Secret Server where our secrets are stored. We have now a SSH session that needs to elevate and the password is also stored in Secret Server.

I found the documentation about that topic (Connect with su-user in SSH sessions - Devolutions Documentation), but it does not tell me how to login with secret A from Secret Server, and pass the password from secret B from Secret Server to the su command?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi Deas,

You could try configuring the Secret Server credential for the su password in the Tools page:

And then use the variable $TOOL_PASSWORD$ in the "Post login" command:

Thanks for the help - but I don´t have the option to select my "Linked (User Vault)"

I use 2024.1.28. Is it possible that I disabled it as an admin for my users?

This is enabled in System Settings:

OK - I think you must make a feature request out of this - in the Shared Vault, "Linked (Vault)" is available, but in the User Vault the "Linked (User Vault)" is not available.

We only use the User Vault, please add the possibility to use this also here.

Thanks!

Hello,
I will make sure to add a feature request for that. It's indeed missing.
