Teams and screen share

avatar

I the past year I used to share the Remote Desktop Manager window by Microsoft Teams to present during the meeting the content of multiple remote Windows systems.
In the last Remote Desktop Manager version, including the 2024.1 I encounter an issue when:

  • I use RDM to connect on one or multiple Windows system by RDP protocol
  • I share the RDM window by Microsoft Teams
  • one of the Windows RPD session disconnect (for example logout from Windows)

In this case, the RDM continues working fine locally on my system, but the view freeze for the Teams client of the people connected to the meeting.
To fix the issue I have to unshare and share again the RDM windows every time I disconnect an RDP session I'm presenting on Teams, or share the full screen on Teams and not only RDM application.

Is there some one encountering my same issue or a way to fix it ?

We have the same issue - when sharing a screen in Microsoft Teams, any RDM session changes (logging into a new host, disconnecting from one etc.) causes the Teams screen share to freeze. This has been an issue in every version of RDM that we've had - up to and including the latest 2024.1.31.0. It's not a huge problem, as we can just stop and re-share the screen again, but it does get annoying.
