TeamViewer Tensor instead ID and Password

Hello
With the new TeamViewer Tensor account, access to the target system can now be authorized directly via the TeamViewer login and no longer with ID and password.
However, this login option is currently not supported in RDM (Helpdesk Ticket 00058344).
Would it be possible to implement this login option in the TeamViewer session?

Martin

Hello Martin,

Do you know if the TeamViewer application's command line supports parameters to send the Tensor Account information as login? I could not find anything about this in their help topic: https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/34447-command-line-parameters

The integration in RDM relies on TeamViewer's command line, so if they don't offer a way to send this information, I don't think there is much we can do.

Hi Hubert

No, I don't know that. But I'm also not sure if I really need it, because I'm already logged in to TeamViewer.

However, when I start the TeamViewer session in RDM, the ID is automatically adopted as the user name.
I suspect that this is why my Tensor login is not being used and I am therefore prompted to enter a password.

You can find a video in the ticket where you can see it very well.

Hello Martin,

I did the test on our end, with the parameters you've entered in the entry, RDM performs the following command line (where 123456789 is the entered ID):
Teamviewer.exe -i "123 456 789"

We don't pass any information that should indicate Teamviewer should prompt for this password, so it seems to be a behavior on Teamviewer's end. Whenever an ID is passed, it looks to ask for a password even if it shouldn't be necessary in your scenario. Because of that, I'm not sure there's anything we can do to change this behavior, as this is on the teamviewer application's end and they don't offer a command line parameter to handle this scenario.
