I am using vmware syncrhonizers to have my vcenters and vm's in RDM. All the synchronizations configured works perfect but after a few time, in all of them begin to appear all entries duplicated. Even if I don't clean up (delete all entries and synchronize again) I can find even 4 copies of each vm (same name, everything equal, up to 4 copies)
Has this happened to anyone? Any clue on why it happens and how to prevent it?
Hello,
It's likely that the duplicates are occurring because the fields of the entries are modified after the synchronization. At present, the VMware sync mechanism in RDM relies on matching specific entry fields, which can lead to duplicates under these circumstances.
In our 2024.2 release scheduled for this summer, we are enhancing the sync functionality to match by ID instead. This change is expected to mitigate the issue you're experiencing, as well as allow us to update the entries rather than recreate them when they don't match anymore.
Once this version is available, please let us know if this issue still occurs for you.
