How to Allow duplicate entry names

Is there a way to allow duplicate names in RDM?

I'm trying to use a Variable in the name field so that I only have to update a name in one place to differentiate the entries. However, RDM objects because its essentially the same string for every entry. I.E. Azure Storage Account ($INFORMATION_MACHINE_NAME$) This become even more imprtant as I nest that connection within a domain and identity folders so I can reference fields from those to derive the name for the host entry.

Thank you for contacting the Devolutions support team.

The variables related to your entries are resolved only when you launch an entry, or you use Clipboard -> Copy -> Resolve Variable.

Could you tell me if you are looking for a way to automatically change the name of your entries to be related to the machine name in RDM, or is this for when you launch the entry?

In the meantime, which version of RDM and what type of data sources are you currently using?
