OpenVPN Connect no working correctly

Hello,

Remote Desktop Manager Version: 2024.1.20.0 64-bit
OpenVPN Connect: 3.4.4 (3412)

Unfortunately, since an RDM update, the OPEN VPN Connect add-on isn't functioning as expected. The OpenVPN path is correctly set up as follows: Path.png
The entry that used to work in older versions of RDM looks like this: Entry.png, Entry2.png
I've already gone through some forum entries, and I thought perhaps the issue would be resolved with the latest RDM version, but unfortunately, that's not the case.
When I click on "Open Session" here, nothing happens: OpenVPN-Session.png
However, if I manually open OpenVPN Connect and then click on "Close" here: Close.png
the OpenVPN Connect window closes. So, there seems to be some connection between RDM and OpenVPN Connect.

Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

We have fixed the implementation internally. Openvpn connect 3.4.x should now work as expected starting with version 2024.1.30.0 of RDM

Hello,

Experiencing exact same issue with 2024.1.31.0. Open VPN does not open (it appears in task manager temporarily, but then closes itself). If the vpn app is opened manually and Close VPN button is clicked in RDM - it closes the VPN application.

Hello,

Figured the issue why it did not work. In Open VPN Connect, after adding the vpnprofile, make sure that the username and the password are saved, so the next time OpenVPN opens, there would be no need to additionally input anything to establish a connection. Once that was done, RDM was able to successfully open the OpenVPN and connect to the VPN profile. Hope that helps someone.
