FWIW, the import of an mremoteng xml file results in the following:

  1. Sending keystrokes to session is not honored
  2. Inheritance is not honored set on parent folders (so a person only has to specify credentials in one spot)
  3. Credentials stored (I don't expect password) are not honored on parent folders. Domain and user account name would be expected.


With mRemoteNG being less and less maintained and less popular, your attention to this matter may not be the highest priority.

Hello,

We have a ticket opened to support the new export format that MRemoteNG provides. I have added this information to the ticket, namely the inheritance that doesn't seem to be importing properly.

For your issue about keystrokes, I saw you made another thread here, and since this isn't related to MRemoteNG's import itself, you can keep track of that issue in the other other thread.

That other thread was for OK button only. The issue I detailed here was the setting for sending in windows keystrokes to the session, be it OK button or anything else, is not being honored when importing an mRemoteNG xml export. We could potentially use that thread for all.
