Devolutions send feature

Is it something you would like in RDM or in DVLS first?

we use RDM with DVLS as data source.
So I think RDM would be better to add that feature first.

I use latest rdm + dvls.

I see you have improved Send service with link duration and view limit.
I must do few more tests but for me this looks like time to switch from bitwarden send feature.

But in RDM when I click "send via message" and click "create sherable link" nothing is under message window.

But then even if you want to copy password and paste under message you can't do that until you close that window.
Same problem is with Message under Window when you click "send message".

I have also noticed if I send some message nothing about that message left under Message window.

This sounds like a bug. Does it happen with all entries or with specific entry types?

If you are talking about the messages view in DVLS, we only display messages received by the user and that were sent in the DVLS instance (Send In-app). Do I understand correctly that you would want to be able to see sent messages too?

It looks like problem is if I use "Edit > User specific settings" for credentials.
If credentials are setup directly on entry then it show password.

Yes I would like to see messages even sent by "Send by mail" and "Create sherable link".
They should be visible for "link duration" and I should be able to delete/disable message even before link expire and also see if link was opened.
Also to be able change view limit, like link was set to single view but recipient notify me that he forget to save data in his system and if I can send it again.
Then I just increase view limit for one.
That is also able to do with bitwarden send feature.

Send is great now, and I have started using it but not fully.

Can you implement/fix/add:

1- "Create shareable link" - I want to see sent message also in the message window, like when using "Send in-app"
I also want to be able to modify parameters like "view limit" later.
Most of the times is set to "Single" but people opens link and forget to save credentials and it would be helpful if I can just increment
view limit for one or want to extend link duration.

2- When I click "Create shareable link" and window opens I can't select anything else in RDM if I wan to copy some data from other entry to message window.

3- Take, for example, an RDP entry. Now you have the option in the password section to "Send via message," and that is great, but many times I want to
send the server name, IP/FQDN, username, password, server remote managment.
I think that when you right-click on the entry, there should be an option "Send via message," and then you should be able to choose which data you want to include in the message from that entry.
Because when I now click "Send via message" and select "Create shareable link," we go back to point 2, and this sending option isn’t very useful.

I'm glad you've started using Devolutions Send.

#1 I will create a feature request. We were not sure how to make it obvious that the message is not encrypted. Regarding changing some settings after creation, it's something we plan to do eventually by allowing the user to manage the Send history, including those not revealed or deleted yet.
#2 I will change the modal dialog to ensure you can copy the data from the application.
#3 I will create a feature request to simplify this with a prompt to select only the credential, host, username, domain, and password, or just username and password.
